Learning GREEK!!

Things had been upside down round here as usual lol... i always feel like when we resolve this little trouble right in front of us the things will be normal for once in our family routine... but no mater how many troubles we solve there are always new ones coming right in front of us lol.. i am not complaining about our life at all.... i feel completely grateful and blessed for my family and my life just as it is now... the thing that i am complaining about is my lack of ability to deal with the flow of life in general.. with the ups and downs...
G has not been in the best mode of the universe lately and me neither i guess the work issues has him like that... i hope this gets better when they get solved... here i go again waiting for the things to get in "normal" mode.... Lil princess as usual so beautiful and lovely, sweet & sour like a good teenager, drawing and drawing!! she has been worried about school but she is just a princess and she is doing it great as always.. such a responsible girl.. i feel amazed and blessed to have such a girl... Nick has express a huge interest in learning Greek... i know it sounds weird, but we are starting to get use to the exceptional things that happen while you home school a 3 years old monkey.. sometimes i have mixed emotions... in one side i feel so happy and proud and at the same time i feel worried thinking that maybe i am not going to be able to keep his speed... just pray God to give me guidance, love and lots of patience to fulfil the teacher roll.. yesterday i also discovered that he is able to read some words.. i think is kind of photographic memory more than a real reading thing.. but anyway it is amazing... This are the most awesome kids in the entire universe.. and they have a crazy mom lol!! Yesterday i was trying to change from windows to ubuntu... but the wireless is giving me so much troubles... i love to learn new things each day... I know i am not able to teach my kids about all the topics they need or want.. but what i want to teach them is that sparkle that push me to try to learn about every single thing that cross in my path lol!! such a curious soul since i can remember.....

this is a semi automatic write… i feel so much mixed emotions right now… on one hand i know that if this happen it will make me feel so sad and i would make indirectly sad a lot of people i love… but it feels like a new romance… yes i feel like i am flirting with Sweden lol i know it sounds really odd… but i can´t stop thinking about it.. i want to know more about it… i want to watch pictures, to learn its language… i feel kind of really excited and at the same time i feel a little bit afraid of recognize how much i would love to move our family to that wonderful and cold land… i do not want to recognize that if we are not able to make it, it will mean a huge huge disappointment… and like a little heartbreaking… but i guess that is the way it has to be… letting your feelings and your emotions guide you through this material world… i guess if you do not put your heart inside the decisions that you take you will not enjoy so much when you achieve your goals…. anyway the only thing i can do for now is wait…. patience and grateful…

Home school days…..

So busy round here lately… home school, kids, hubby, cleaning house, cooking… and several other things.. but the only horrible thing is that my lil monkey is with fiver since a couple of days ago… first it seemed to be kind of flue, but later he started with a little bit of troubles on his tummy…. so i am not 100% sure what it is.. i just pray God to take the fever away… he has not an infection so the doctor says he does not need any medicine… lets wait and pray… :)
Anyway he does not feel so bad at all so we are here in the classroom and he is using his twitter lol it is amazing to see a lil 3 years old so happy to have a twitter account and he has almost 100 tweets lol!! he is a blessing, and i love to se how much he and his sister share… she was the one that had the idea of the twitter account and it has been awesome because he used to just write on the word pad and all those beautiful things were lost every time he closed the window, but now is like having a record of his writing progress..

Welcome to the old times!!!! ;)

 What a wonderful weekend!!! We are bringing back to life several things round here and today it was the music corner in the living room!!! taking out all the old LP and sharing them with the kids!!!! I feel each day we are better than the day before, having more time to relax and more space to enjoy a nice and happy family life… i love my family… i feel complete blessed.. and I feel like is never enough how grateful i feel with God for all the joy and blessing that i receive and live each day… love you my beloved G…. my beautiful Princess and my handsome little monkey…. you are my angels and my entire life!!!! :)

So proud of you……

This has been a really tough week!! lovely in a sense of fulfilling needs and achieving dreams like the possibility of going upstairs every single time we want… but it has been a really hard and long time too because I miss G a lot!!! He has gone for 8 days to Honduras and i feel completely proud and so amazed of how his work is going to have a direct impact in the quality of life for a lot of children…
Anyway I miss you…. it is such a wonderful feeling that no matter how bad and worried I am feeling every time we speak and I share with you what is happening to me I feel immediately relief…. thank you my love… love you with all my heart….

Stairway to heaven……….. :)

Por fin despues de varios años de construcción estamos a punto de poder mudarnos al segundo piso de la casa!!! Estamos muy emocionados… durante mucho tiempo sentía como que todo estaba en pausa, mis ganas de oir música, de pintar, de dibujar, de hacer muchas muchas cosas, por que todo eso se quedo como guardado junto con las cajas de mis oleos que están en la bodega…. pero ahora siento algo padrísisisisimo!!! como que todo eso quiere estallar y viene una época de mucha creatividad y de hacer mil cosas que antes estaban nada mas como planes…. estoy felíz felíz!!!! y todo eso gracias a la ESCALERA jajajaja!! es impresionante como una escalera puede hacer tanta diferencia en la vida de una familia :)

So much without writing…..

i miss to write on here… life has been a little complicated lately… to much things round the house with all the improvements and arranges…. workers… dust and piles and more piles of things every single place where you put your eyes… i am so glad this is going to change soon.. i can believe that in a couple of weeks our life quality is going to change so much for better.. each one of us is going to be able to have our own space and the classroom will be a real thing not just a crazy dream… home school will begin in a couple of weeks and i feel so excited about it!! i can´t wait!!! i am looking so forward to establish our daily schedule at home and the extra classes just a couple of days at the week…The princess will start highschool!!! so trilled about that!! she is becoming such a wonderful woman… it is amazing how intelligent, smart, talented and gifted girl she is!! and it will be completely awesome to have her so early each day instead of waiting till almost 4 pm to have her home, she will normally arrive at 1:30 :)
so thankful for all the blessings around us…..

it is amazing how much a tinny change can improve the way the entire house looks!! i am working so much more round here and i feel so happy to see my kids enjoying the fruit of all that hard housework!!

last week i was crazy with all my teenager princess magazines over the floor!! and then i had an idea and i covered an old box with some fancy cloth and spangles and it looks pretty good!!

and i feel so much relief after i was able to get rid of the horrible table that was in the kitchen!!! now the second fridge is in it’s place!! and now the dinning room looks like a real dinning room!!! i am sooooooo happyyyyyy!! it feels like fresh air!!!!

i love watching pics round here but there is one special subject of pics that i enjoy a lot… that is little Samantha she is such a lovely beautiful girl!! and her mom, Rebecca is such a great photographer!! i love her work!

I was reading about Marillion, a couple of interesting blogs.. and each time i read them i feel like i wish i could be able to have some discipline about writing…..

i am a stay at home mom, i have two beautiful blessings, my teenager princess, and my handsome toddler LOL, my wonderful husband.

i also home school my youngest boy, love to read, to write, to paint….

Escribiendo por aquí mientras Gus trabaja en la primera puerta de lo que será pronto nuestra recamara!!! que emoción!! :) hace muchísimo frío!! pero es increíble observar como poco a poco todo comienza a tomar forma… pareciera que hace 2 días comenzamos con la construcción y ya estamos cada día mas cerca de poder mudarnos!!!!

El pequeño Nick a jugado durante un par de meses en http://www.starfall.com que es una página gratuita donde ha aprendido montones y montones de cosas divertidas.

Después descubrí la página de http://www.nickjr.com la cual también esta llena de juegos educativos y entretenidos, lo malo son todos los anuncios que salen en la página… a los pocos días de jugar ahí quiso entrar a la página de hotwheels, lo cual en ese momento se me hizo una gran idea, pero así pasaron varios días en los cuales el rato que dedica a la computadora lo quería pasar completo jugando ahí.

Así que decidimos pagar la suscripción para http://www.time4learning.com sin anuncios y con una cantidad de actividades y juegos de lo mas divertidos, letras, insectos, proyectos, etc. Creo que fue una muy muy buena opción sobre todo en lo que logramos terminar de adecuar su espacio para comenzar con el programa de Calvert.

¡Por fin llegó nuestro esperado paquete de Calvert! ¡El cartero llego diciendo que era Santa Claus jajaja! ¡Y el pequeño Nick no paraba de gritar de la emoción diciendo que ama su escuela! ¡Fue un día padrísimo!

Extrañaba mi blog!!!!!!

Por fin!! Después de tanto pero tanto tiempo me puedo volver a conectar para escribir solo un par de lineas. El cargador de mi compu se descompuso desde hace un par de meses, así que estaba usando una compu super viejita nada más para lo básico... y la verdad es que esto del blog es algo que hay que disfrutar!!! y aqui en mi bella BLUSH si me gusta!!! jajaja!! asi se llama mi compu! :)

Caracol, caracol, caracolito……

Últimamente hemos estado trabajando varios ejercicios de motricidad fina como este caracolito!! es increíble la concentración y la paciencia que tiene para hacer estos trabajitos a pesar de lo movido que es!! le gusta mucho hacer cosas minuciosas, como ayudarme a separar semillas o cereales!!

Tanta diversión con una caja, pintura y un poco de papel!!

Este es el proyecto mas reciente que hemos realizado, lo hicimos ayer en la tarde y ha sido lo máximo!!
Hoy en cuanto abrió el ojo lo primero que me dijo fue:
-Mami… Gracias por que construimos mi carrito blue!!!
:) y pues bien se sabe que niños felices = mamá feliz!!!!

Libélulas de chocolate!!!

Están súper fáciles de hacer!! y fue muy divertido solo imprimimos la imagen, recortamos, pintamos y pegamos el chocolate!! aquí esta una imagen de todo lo que hicimos!! Nicolás es el mas orgulloso del mundo!! trabajo muchísimo para regalarlos a los que ama!! :)

Feliz año del Tigre!!!! grrrrr!!! :)

Esto es lo que hicimos ayer!! en el blog de mermelada de naranjas amargas venían varios links sobre el Año Nuevo Chino, y aquí lo complementamos con música tradicional de China mientras trabajábamos así como una nariz roja y bigotes de tigre jajajaja!! fue muy divertido y Nicolás paso varias horas encantado de la vida trabajando y aprendiendo, pero sobre todo creando e imaginando!!

Todo en orden.

Me llama muchísimo la atención desde que Nicolás era pequeñito todo lo forma…. todo… sus galletas, carritos, calcetines, salchichas. crayolas… T O D O!! Juega y avienta todo, disfruta mucho con sus juguetes pero después de un ratito forma todo y se pone a contarlos jajaja!! además ama levantar todo cuando termina de jugar… yo apuesto que esta alegría por el orden no le dura hasta los 12 jajaja!! ya veremos…. mientras tanto disfrutamos contando y ordenando todo una y otra vez!!! :)

Batidillo súper divertido!!!!

Esta foto es de antes de que cumpliera un año!! Se divertía como loco pintando en un papel craft gigante!! Es padrísimo el ver como al principio usan un solo dedito… probando la textura de la pintura… lo embarran con cuidadito en un pedazo chiquito del papel…. y…. al final…. ¿Qué tal? jajajajaja!!
Ahorita básicamente lo que trato de hacer es pasar la mayor parte del tiempo jugando libremente… y aprovechando cualquier pregunta que me haga como pretexto para enseñarle algo nuevo… es todavía muy pequeño, pero es impresionante todo lo que pueden aprender jugando!!
Definitivamente aun cuando disfrutaba como loca el pasar tiempo con mis alumnos cuando trabajaba…. no hay nada como trabajar para tus hijos jajajaja!! son los únicos jefes presentes 24/7 pero son los mas adorados del universo!!!!

Primera entrada del blog!!!

Decidí crear este blog para ayudarme a tener un poco de orden en este inmenso y maravilloso mundo del aprendizaje en casa.
Soy mamá de 2 maravillosos niños, la mayor una adolecente súper creativa, la cual a pesar de nuestro disgusto siempre a estado en educación tradicional, ya que nuestra problemática diaria en especial con lo que respecta a las finanzas me obligaba a trabajar fuera de casa, y de un enano de casi 3 años al que gracias al cielo podremos dar la clase de educación con la que siempre soñamos!!
Yo creo que uno de los principales retos que hemos enfrentado con el ha sido el lograr poner horarios, desde que nació el ha marcado que tiene un carácter fuerte, extrovertido, hiperactivo y con muchísimas ganas de aprender… y casi no le gusta dormir!! le gusta tener actividades nuevas cada día y parece una esponja!
Llevo prácticamente desde que estaba embarazada leyendo e informándome respecto al tema de la enseñanza en casa… hay diversas opiniones sobre cuando empezar… yo opino que la clave es no forzarlos.. sino llevar las cosas al ritmo que los chicos lo vayan pidiendo.
No tenemos un horario ni un mapa curricular sobre que temas desarrollar, tampoco estoy forzando letras ni números, pero el comienza a preguntar: ¿Qué letra es esta mamá? ¿Qué dice aquí? y ha comenzado a reconocer letras sueltas en incluso algunas palabras.
Todo lo hacemos a manera de juego y no de una repetición fastidiosa, y realmente me asombra todo lo que ya sabe.
Yo estudie la mitad de la carrera de Artes Plásticas, y también tengo hasta el 6to semestre en Psicología Clínica, pero mi mayor experiencia profesional ha sido en el ámbito de la educación, he dado clases desde preescolar hasta preparatoria, y no tengo idea si estoy sufriendo del síndrome de mamá gallina o si en verdad es asombroso todo lo que sabe.
Espero que este sea un buen medio de compartir lo que hacemos!!!
